Not a medical service
Allelewise provides educational information only. It is not medical advice, a diagnosis, a clinical genetic test, or a substitute for a qualified healthcare professional. Using Allelewise or Helix does not establish a clinician–patient relationship.
Genetic associations are not your outcome
Genetics is only one influence on health and traits. Evidence can vary by population, study quality and variant. Consumer DNA can contain false positives, false negatives or missing variants. Blueprint scores are educational summaries of a limited set of markers—not validated clinical risk predictions or personalized prescriptions for training, food or ageing.
Promethease labels and imported explanations
Good, Bad and magnitude values are copied from the imported report, not independently verified by Allelewise. A Bad label does not establish that you have a condition or need a particular test. A Good label does not establish protection or a beneficial trait. An unclassified entry or absence of a concern does not rule out disease. Report strand orientation is not verified, so Promethease data is not used to calculate raw-DNA blueprint scores.
Helix limitations
Helix answers are AI-generated general knowledge about public genes or markers, not live sourced research or individual risk estimates. They can be wrong, outdated, incomplete or misleading. Helix does not receive your genotype or report and cannot interpret your personal result. The private whole-report review only organizes original labels on your device; it is not an AI scan or clinical assessment.
Clinical confirmation and urgent care
Discuss health-related findings and your personal and family history with a doctor or genetic counsellor. Ask whether clinical-grade confirmation is appropriate before making medical decisions. Do not start, stop or change medication, supplements, treatment, screening or healthcare based on this app.
Do not use Allelewise for urgent symptoms or emergencies. Seek appropriate local emergency or medical care instead of waiting for a report or AI answer.
